Ian Oxley is an artist based in London and Southwold. He paints horizons in Southwold, Yorkshire, and Naples.
“In some ways I aim to modernise the approach of Turner with some pigments he didn’t have access to like fluorescent magenta. I also use light in a slightly different way to most artists, as photography with live light is part of my process. I am modernising the use of light and colour in painting by incorporating photography and digital technology such as algorithms. I paint primarily oil and acrylic on canvas. Horizonart Studio sells original artwork and limited edition prints directly and through representatives. Commissions are available depending on the project and proceeds are given to education charities.”
